RETURN TO TRAINING:
At Parteen GAA & Camogie Club we hope that you and your families are beginning to ease back into what is our new ‘normal’ way of life.
In the last email we sent out we gave the likely return to training date to be Mon 29th June, this is still the case for Parteen GAA & Camogie Club.
You may have seen that the GAA announced at the weekend an earlier date of 24th June for adult & 27th June for minor and below, however as there is a lot to organise as a club we have decided to stay with the original date of 29th June – each lead coach will be in contact with their own team re training nights and times.
The other change introduced over the weekend was that contact training is allowed from the 29th June.
For the safety of all involved we have decided to stagger the return dates for the various ages.
Week of 29th June: Under 14’s – Adults (inclusive)
Under 6 - 12's return dates to be confirmed.
Please note that there is no obligation on any player / coach to return to training. Members who have a concern regarding personal higher risk, or a family member / household contact with higher risk, should discuss the situation with their GP (or an appropriate medical professional) before making a decision on whether to return to activity or not. If you intend on not returning this season, please contact your coach – no explanation is required.
All Players and Teams must conduct their training sessions outdoors; no changing Facilities will be available for Players and Teams until further notice.
In order to return to training the player / coach must:
1. Be registered with Parteen GAA and Camogie Club. Please follow link to registration form http://www.parteen-gaa.com/Shared%20Documents/membershipform%202020.pdf. We will be doing registration next Friday the 26th at the Clubhouse from 6:30 - 7:30pm, social distancing will be adhered to. NO PAY, NO PLAY.
2. Complete the mandatory GAA online education module (approx. 20min.’s). A certificate of completion must be presented to the Club on the players return to training. You can send a screenshot to your coach with your child's name. If you have more than one child playing put all names on cert and send to relevant coaches. For underage players, a parent / guardian must complete the programme. Follow link:

3. A health questionnaire must be completed prior to return to training. To do this you must set up a ‘profile’. The link for this is will go live tomorrow Tues 23rd June https://returntoplay.gaa.ie/
Please note that prior to each subsequent training session each player / parent must ‘reconfirm’ their health status via their ‘profile’. If a player’s health status is not ‘reconfirmed’ they will be unable to attend training. The teams Covid Supervisor will have a list of those players that have ‘reconfirmed’ their health status.
4. If possible, walk or cycle to the venue. If travelling by private vehicle, such as a car, only travel with members of the same household.
5. Only person attending training to get out of vehicle. However, we still request that the parents of under 6 and 8 players remain at the Club (in their car) during training as has always been Club policy. Please adhere to the new ‘one-way system’ and speed limit of 10km/hr.
6. Adhere to hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette – there will be a hand sanitising station for each player / coach to use prior to training.
7. Do not share personal equipment such as water bottles. All players must have their own labelled water bottles.
8. Participants are also required to change at home, shower at home and where possible use toilet facilities at home. Strapping should be applied at home. *** Toilets will be available on a controlled basis. ***
9. Regardless of training being ‘contact training’, outside of training the 2-meter social distancing guidelines must be adhered to – please ensure that children are familiar with this.

Cúl Camp:
All Cúl Camp's do not start until 20th July this year.
Unfortunately, there will be no Cúl Camp in Parteen GAA and Camogie Club this year as we were due to run the camp as usual on the 6th July. This was cancelled by The GAA early on in the Covid outbreak.
This will be a big loss to us as a Club and we are very disappointed, but we must abide by the government guidelines.
There is an option to buy the Cúl Camp gear online if you are not attending a camp. Please see the attached link.
There is also an exciting new GAA Cúl Camp TV programme airing on TG4 getting kids warmed up from June 29th. For further details see the link attached.

LOTTO:
Our Club Lotto gets back underway next Tues 30th June, current jackpot €12,300. We will run off all the missed draws next week – 16 weeks of draws.
The Club Lotto is the Clubs main way of fundraising. There are several different payment methods to play the Lotto – pay annually with club membership (discounted), standing order, weekly in local shops, pubs etc. The easiest option is to pay online where you will find the option of paying for up to 50 draws in advance. Your support in playing the Lotto and supporting the Club is greatly appreciated.
